Alan Miller Developer Advisory Board, Brownfields Program Manager and Redevelopment Unit Coordinator Office for Planning Advocacy within the New Jersey Business Action Center, Department of State
Mr. Miller is responsible for implementing redevelopment policy in the State of New Jersey, and maintaining SiteMart, the state's inventory of Brownfields sites. Mr. Miller is a member of and staff to the New Jersey Brownfields Redevelopment Task Force. He also facilitates the Brownfields Redevelopment Interagency Team (BRIT), the Development Opportunities Interagency Team (DOIT) and represents his office as a member of the Brownfields InterAgency Work Group (IAWG), a Federal/State team that assists high value Brownfields redevelopment projects in New Jersey.
Mr. Miller received a B.A. from Temple University and his M.A. from Glassboro State, now Rowan University. He has served on numerous committees, task forces and boards and was the State appointed Commissioner to the Housing Authority of the City of Camden. He served on both the Cherry Hill Zoning and Planning Boards for 17 years, the last 12 years as the Chair of the Planning Board. Prior to working for the State of New Jersey, Mr. Miller was a 25-year owner of Novelty Hair Goods Co., a manufacturing firm in Camden, NJ.
