Brad Molotsky Developer Advisory Board Brandywine Realty Trust
Brad A. Molotsky (age 49) is the Executive Vice President, General
Counsel and Secretary of Brandywine Realty Trust, a NYSE listed, real estate
investment trust. He is also the co-creator of Brandywine Environments,
Brandywine’s portfolio-wide sustainability initiative. Brandywine
specializes in the ownership, management, leasing and development of class-A
commercial office properties in selected markets throughout the United States,
owning and managing over 36 million square feet of office product. Mr.
Molotsky joined Brandywine as General Counsel and Secretary in October
1997. Prior to joining Brandywine, Mr. Molotsky was a commercial
transactions attorney at Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Molotsky is a member of National
Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the Real Estate Roundtable
(and serves as the Vice Chair of the Roundtable’s Sustainability Taskforce),
the National Association of Office Properties (NAIOP)(and serves as the
Co-Chair of the NJ - Energy Committee), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the
Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC – serving on their Board and
Fundraising Committee), and the Sustainability Roundtable, Inc. He also serves on the Advisory Boards of the
Greater Philadelphia Energy Efficiency in Buildings Innovation Cluster and on
the Keep America Beautiful.
Mr. Molotsky is also a board
member of Committee of Seventy, the DVGBC, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society –
Philadelphia Chapter, the Jewish Federation of Southern NJ, the Greater
Philadelphia JFRE Executive Committee, and serves as President of Jewish
Community Properties, Inc. He is also a member of the University of
Pennsylvania’s Wharton School Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center, the Building
Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and of NAIOP’s Innovation and
Sustainability Forum.
Mr. Molotsky has been elected
to membership in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American
College of Mortgage Attorneys and he serves on
the Advisory Board for CARES and for the World Affairs Council of
Philadelphia. He has also been selected as a Martin Luther King Medal
Award winner for Camden County for his community service, as NJ General Counsel
of the Year – 2013 by NJBIZ, has earned a First Chair Award – 2013 amongst in
house Real Estate Counsel, has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer each year
since 2004 and has been accepted to Cambridge Who’s Who among Executives,
Professionals and Entrepreneurs, Biltmore Who’s Who as well as Strathmore Who’s
Who from 2004 to the present date.
Mr. Molotsky has testified in
front of the US Senate Energy Committee on energy efficiency issues in 2012 and
2013 and has been invited to testify in front of the US House Energy Committee
on energy efficiency issues. He is a
frequent lecturer for the American Law Institute, NAIOP, ULI, and the American
Bar Association on various topics, including leasing, sustainability, REITs and
mergers and acquisitions, has presented at Greenbuild 2012 and will be
presenting at Greenbuild 2013 and he has co-founded and co-hosted an annual
Sustainability Symposium in PA and NJ for the last three years which drew over
825 attendees in 2013. He also lectured on Sustainability at Villanova
University to undergraduate and MBA students as well as participated in a
Coursera lecture for the University of Pennsylvania on Sustainability. He is currently working with each of Cherry
Hill Township, the Cherry Hill School District and Camden County to develop
their own separate, but integrated, Sustainability Plans.
Mr. Molotsky received a B.S.
in Accounting from the University of Delaware graduating cum laude and an
MBA/JD from Villanova University’s School of Law and the College of Business
and Finance with cum laude distinction. Mr. Molotsky is happily married
with three children ranging in ages from 20 to 14.
