Continued: The Future of Environmental Due Diligence & Risk ManagementThe process and procedures for environmental due
diligence and risk assessment in mergers and acquisitions, real estate
transactions, and remediation projects have changed little in 30 years.
Although testing techniques have become much more sophisticated and the
Internet has enabled widespread information exchange, the decision making
behavior of stakeholders remains quite antiquated. While capital markets remain
robust, competition for funding is increasing and the timeframe to analyze
deals is decreasing. There is a significant need for improved decision making
concerning the environmental risks impacting transactions and projects. This
session will introduce the use of sophisticated modeling process tools that can
transform qualitative suppositions into quantitative assurances which can
facilitate the development of risk mitigation, reduction, and elimination
strategies. This session will discuss the process and present real world case
studies.
Panelists: Chip D'Angelo, WCD Group; Christopher Ball, Manko, Gold,
Katcher & Fox LLP; and Marcel Ricciardelli, Allied World Assurance
Company
